Comfortable Wedding Shoes
Fit is more important than Fashion!
The most important criteria for choosing bridal footwear is to go for a pair of COMFORTABLE wedding shoes.
That does not necessarily mean your wedding shoes have to come with a low heel.
If you're used to walking around in 5 inch heels, then go for it; on the other hand, if you normally just wear flats shoes or trainers, then avoid high heels unless you want to put yourself through a whole lot of pain.
Comfortable Bridal Shoes
Here are some tips for not having sore feet on your big day:
Decide on the style of your wedding shoe first. Consider the type of shoe you normally wear.
If you are used to walking around in high heels all day then a sexy strappy wedding sandal may be the
comfort option for you.
But if you are used to wearing flat shoes most of the time, then a stilletto heel will probably cause agony!
Consider your wedding venue before buying a pair of high heeled or stilletto shoes. For example,
if the floor of your wedding venue is made of decking (a popular choice for beach weddings), then you may get stuck!
Try LOTS of shoes on before buying and walk around the store for a while first. Do those
shoes rub a little or are they too narrow for your feet? Maybe try a wider fitting if available.
Do you have large feet? Consider a rounded toe which can make your feet look smaller and will also be more comfortable than
a pair of pointed toe shoes.
When you have made your purchase, practice walking around in them at home to be absolutely sure.
Whilst a little more expensive, choose leather as a fabric for your bridal shoes. Synthetic fabrics are cheaper but
your feet will sweat and become swollen especially on a hot day. Even if the weather isn't warm, the excitement of your big day
along with all that dancing will make your feet warm so leather is always best for the most comfortable wedding shoes.
A pair of better quality leather bridal shoes will also be dyeable allowing a second use for your shoes after the wedding.
