Wedding Favors Gifts

First decide on what type of seeds you want to give your guests - Should it be flower seeds, vegetable seeds or perhaps healthy edible seeds like sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds that taste great and are a brilliant alternative to unhealthy sugared almonds or chocolate wedding favors?

Or personalize your seed gifts by giving green-fingered gardners the vegetable and flower seeds and the edible ones to anyone who is more likely to kill a plant then nurture it!

Tip: Save money by recycling the seeds from chillis removed before cooking. The same can be done with peppers or just about any vegetable with seeds - just remember to dry them thoroughly first)

Eco Friendly Wedding

For an eco friendly wedding, buy recycled colored paper from a stationary store and make small packets that can be filled with seeds.

You can either draw shapes like leaves or hearts onto cards then use these as a template for each seed packet or you can make simple mini envelopes - take a large envelope, open it out so you can see how the "shape" is made, scan it onto a computer and reduce in size to make a smaller template.

Each packet should contain 20-30 seeds and the instructions for what to do with them can be written on the back of the packet.

Tip: Having a Christmas wedding? Shape your seed packets into round baubles, make a hole in the top and add a piece of string so they can be hung on the Christmas tree!
