Bring your own wedding alcohol

Instead of hiring an expensive venue or mobile bar, we've hired a traditional medieval village hall. It's beautiful and cheap. In addition to this we are doing a BYO (bring your own)alcohol.

As people usually have to spend a fortune on alcohol at a wedding we are giving them the opportunity to bring their own. This way they can drink what they like, and not spend too much. And we don't have to pay for a licence.

Save money with BYO booze

Hi Rebecca

What a great tip! We arranged a bar with the owner of our wedding venue with drinks at 25% above cost price but this is an even cheaper way to let everyone party all night without worrying about the bank balance.

And what a clever way too to avoid the hassle of nedding a drinks license.

The trouble with wedding planning is that you just never can budget correctly for how much people will want to drink. If you only budget for X glasses or bottles per person, you then feel mean if the drink runs out. Then again, if your over-order, you can be left with too much alcohol at the end of the party. Even if it's on a sale or return basis, it's still a hassle to take it back.

Your tip makes it easy to keep everyone happy.
