Why are more and more couples are choosing beach theme weddings these days?

Is it just because they want a sunshine wedding?

Since moving to Cyprus in the sunny Mediterranean 7 years ago, I've been to several beach weddings and I have to say that tying the knot with the waves lapping against the shore is SO special and romantic.

The best thing is it doesn't need to cost a fortune as a beach wedding is so much more casual; you simply don't need fancy table centerpieces or a hugely expensive dress which means that your big day can work out a lot cheaper. Plus if you choose your destination and dates wisely, sunshine is pretty much guaranteed.

But before booking your flight, it's worth thinking about some of the different planning issues involved in order to take those beach wedding vows:

How easy is it to get married in your chosen destination? What special paperwork will you need?
What kind of clothing is best for a beach wedding for both bride and groom?
How will you get your wedding dress to its destination in one piece?
How many guests to invite? Who will actually marry you? Where will you find flowers, a photographer and transportation? Where will you hold the reception?

So many questions and many are not easy to find answers to.
